It’s really hard to keep your family healthy and immune systems strong all year long! But it’s not impossible and takes a lot of intention. And using essential oils for immunity boost is a very effective way to do it!
One of the most effective ways to build a healthy immune system is by eating a whole foods diet. One that’s made up of whole fruits and veggies and foods that are unprocessed.
There are actually foods that naturally boost our immunity.
The more our kids eat foods that once “lived” versus coming out of a box, the better their overall health will be. And this is tough when our fall back is often the drive-thru, which where we live doesn’t always have the healthiest choices.
What we eat has a direct impact on how effective our immune system is at fighting colds and flus.

Essential Oils for Immune System
My other favorite way to boost my kids’ immunity is by using essential oils for a natural immunity boost.
Here are some of the very best essential oils that are hugely effective at boosting the immune system and fighting off germs and disease.
Oregano Essential Oil
Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Immunity Essential Oil Roll On
The most effective way to use these amazing oils is to properly dilute them in a safe carrier oil and roll them directly onto the skin using a roller bottle. You can also diffuse them too!
We use our essential oil immunity roller on a daily basis and at the onset of any cold or flu symptoms to get rid of them fast!
My family’s favorite immunity roller recipe is:
10 drops Frankincense
15 drops: Oregano
15 drops Peppermint
15 drops Thieves
30 drops Lemon
You can whip this up in a 10 ml roller bottle by adding a bit of carrier oil first and then all of your essential oils next. Then top off your bottle with carrier oil and add your roller cap.
This blend smells amazing and my kids don’t mind using it at all.
Where to Apply Essential Oils for Immune System
You may be asking yourself, “where do I actually apply essential oils to boost immunity?”
And that’s a great question because there is a right way to do it!
First, always be sure to dilute your essential oils in a carrier oil. For children and infants use 1 drop of essential oil per Tbsp of carrier oil is generally a safe rule to follow. And for Adults use 2 drops of essential oil per tsp of carrier oil.
To support a healthy immune system you can apply the roller bottle to your kids’ feet, behind their ears, and the back of the neck. You can also apply to the chest too.
You may be wondering, do essential oils really work for the immune system? My answer is in my personal experience (even as an early skeptic), yes essential oils totally work to keep my family above the wellness line.
Essential oils have been used as medicine for thousands of years and still are a very effective way to support immunity, get better sleep, maintain a healthy weight, and even naturally clean your home.

The key here is to get your kids used to using oils. Why this matters is when you need them most you don’t want to be thinking about them last!
